First Day in Rome - "The Eternal City"

Ok, so we walked around Rome with a map and managed to find our way to Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Pizza Navona. Had dinner at Ponte & Parionen; Rissoto for Jan, Carbonara for Dawn with house Rossa. Not much sleep on the plane so we were pretty tired and decided to take a cab back to our hotel. We thought we'd been smart to bring a card from the hotel lobby with the address on it for just such an occasion---which didn't work quite like we planned---the cab driver had to stop twice to ask directions. At least Italian men are willing to admit they need help.

We're sitting on the roof-top terrace now just winding down. Of course the Romans won't even think about what's for dinner for several more hours yet, but we'll be sound asleep (we hope) by then!
