The dates are set. Jan and I will leave on March 29th and return April 19th. We'll fly into Rome then work our way south to Sicily.
ALL credit must be given to Jan who is the master planner for this trip. All I've done from the beginning is to say "YES"! Yes, I want to go to Italy! Yes, three weeks sounds wonderful! Yes, that cooking school looks fabulous! Yes, hotel Margarita! Yes, I want a room with a seaside view! Yes, let's take the train!
You get the idea. The biggest thing we've yet to decide at this point is whether to try packing for three weeks in carry-on size luggage or check a larger suitcase. We're still working out the perfect combination of bags for traveling, day-tripping, shopping, etc. (One thing Jan and I have in common is an obsession with bags!)
I thought we should start this blog with at least a few pre-trip posts, so here we go!..........
